Beeswax is awesome for our skin and hair because its loaded with vitamin A. Internally, our bodies need vitamin A for good vision, a healthy immune system, and cell growth. Externally, vitamin A can soften skin, soothe irritated skin and burns, and give you a healthy mane. Which is also why you see beeswax in so many lip balms.

Beeswax for Skin:

In general, vitamin A is known to promote healthy skin. While the majority of the chemicals that you pick up in the bottles at the drug stores say they aid in absorption, beeswax is full of vitamin A and provides some long-term moisture. How does it hydrate? Think of beeswax as a magnet for water – attracting it naturally. Lucky for us, this weird magnet stuff is doing us a solid by not only keeping us moisturized, its locking in that moisture.

Beeswax for Hair:

So if we’re lathering all this goodness on our skin, what about our hair? Beeswax is fantastic for hair, especially because it achieves everything chemicals attempt to do, but in an all-natural way. Beeswax is used as a natural treatment to stimulate hair growth. So essentially it can be used to get fuller, fluffier, sexier hair. It’s great because it keeps it soft, shiny and in general, more manageable.

Whether you’re looking to find an all-natural solution to hair growth, or skin irritation and plenty in between, beeswax is a pretty solid alternative.
