New Year, New Beard

It’s a new year and if you’re like others you’ve probably set your New Year’s resolutions: work, gym, diet, but did you consider your beard when making those resolutions? Probably not, but it’s never too late. If you’re wondering what we mean by ‘new beard’ – we mean an all-natural, moisturized, sexy new beard. New year, new beard, fellas.

If you don’t want to cut the glorious beard you’ve been working for, here are a few things to do to turn it into the best beard it can be:

The first step is to put on your big boy pants and stop buying products with harsh chemicals in them. Everyday products promising you all sorts of benefits may actually be doing more harm than good. For example, sulfate is a devilish little chemical that is in almost everything that foams: soaps, shampoos, shaving creams, toothpastes, etc. Products with sulfate in them dry out your skin and cause your beard to be dull and brittle.

Unfortunately, sulfate isn’t the only bad chemical, there are hundreds out there to watch out for – even products that have all the ‘smell-good-stuff’ are usually just added chemicals. Time to be smarter about your grooming purchases and reading labels (do it for your beard). However, don’t run to your bathroom and throw everything away, that could be costly. Instead, try easing into new products. When you run out of shaving cream, instead of purchasing the same kind, go for something all-natural. Let’s make 2015 your sexiest beard yet, gents!
